Edward Friend

FRIEND, Edward Dean - age 49, died suddenly on Wednesday, June 25, 2008 at his residence. Funeral services will be held 2 PM Sunday, June 29, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday and 2-4 and 5-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. A graveside service will also be held 2 PM Monday in Marion, MI. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to Last Chance Pet Rescue. Edward was born July 10, 1958 in Ann Arbor, the son of Ceril G. and Dorice (Bentley) Friend, Jr. Mr. Friend attended Ferris State College. He married Marsha Nottingham on April 22, 1989. Edward loved pets and was a dedicated target shooter and audiophile. He enjoyed cooking and had a crazy sense of humor. Surviving are: wife, Marsha Nottingham; mother, Dorice Friend; cousins, Patrick, Timothy and Michael Birtles, Dan, Dennis and Peggy Williams, Don and Robert Friend, Katherine LeToureau, Jerry Lee, Bonnie and Barbara Burk; aunts, Marjorie Williams, Mildred Smith and Letha Friend.
