CURNUTTE, Edward Everett - Age 89, of Fenton, died Sunday, July 3, 2011 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Friday, July 8, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd, Fenton. Mr. Clifford Tucker, Minister of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Thursday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and Friday from 10:30 AM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society. Mr. Curnutte was born September 7, 1921 in Radnor, WV, the son of Benjamin and Cuzzie (Thompson) Curnutte. He was a veteran of WWII (Full Theater) serving in the U.S. Army. He married Lola Belle Beard June 11, 1948 in Detroit and she preceded him in death July 13, 2007. Mr. Curnutte retired from National Life and Accident Insurance Company. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Surviving are: 3 children, Debbi Lanham of Franklin, TN, Douglas Curnutte of Fenton and Russell Curnutte of Fenton; 3 grandchildren, Jessica and husband Ryan Saul of Virginia Beach, VA, Lauren Curnutte of Fenton and Matthew Curnutte of Nashville, TN; great grandson, Riley Saul; sister, Gladys Sabota of Grand Blanc; several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by his parents; son-in-law, Darrell Lanham; daughter-in-law, Esty Curnutte; several brothers and sisters.
