BOYDEN, Edward Lee - Age 85, of Fenton, passed away October 16, 2020. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, October 26, 2020 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 10 AM until the time of Mass. Burial will follow in St. John Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Knights of Columbus, Council 7418. Edward was born August 4, 1935 in Alma, the son of David and Dorothy (Brenner) Boyden. He married JoAnn Cappo on May 4, 1959 in Fenton; she preceded him in death on November 27, 2016. He was a giver by nature and treated everyone like family. Edward was a great neighbor and the biggest joy in his life was his family. His grandchildren and great-grandchildren were everything to him. He enjoyed spending time outdoors, gardening and restoring old cars. He enjoyed being an active member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus, where he was a 4h Degree Knight. He loved cutting wood for the K of C Fundraiser. He is survived by his children, Laura Drahms, Edward (Susan) Boyden and Jenny Webb; grandchildren, Amy, Angela, Joseph, Brianna, Edward Jr. and Aubrey; great-grandchildren, Maddie, Alex, Lily and Olivia; sister, Evelyn (Leeman) Shelby; brother, David (Connie) Boyden.
