ANGELUSKI, Edward M. - Age 89, of Fenton, passed away Friday, August 7, 2009 at home. Services will be held 11AM Tuesday, August 11, 2009 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, 4200 Belford Rd., Holly, Commander Jerry Hawkins officiating. A luncheon will follow at Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243, 1148 N. Leroy St., Fenton. Memorial contributions may be made to Fenton Adopt-A-Pet or V.F.W. National Children's Home. Edward was born on June 16, 1920 in Wilkes Barre, PA, the son of Michael and Veronica (Slezak) Angeluski. He married Sylvia Topolewski at St. Hyacinth Church in Detroit on June 29, 1946. Mr. Angeluski enlisted in the U.S. Coast Guard on September 26, 1942 and was honorably discharged in February 1946. He had been employed as an International Representative by the U.A.W., retiring in 1985. Mr. Angeluski served as a Fenton City Council Member for eight years, active on the Fenton Cemetery Board, and was instrumental in the Water Plant and Fire Department. He was also a committed member of the Downtown Development Authority. Edward was an animal lover and they loved him in return. Surviving are his wife of 63 years, Sylvia; 2 children, Michael Angeluski of Fenton and Kathleen (Richard) Williams of Highland; 5 grandchildren, Jason, Robyn, Stacey, Sean and Sarah; 3 great-grandchildren, Amber, Ashlen and Austin; brother, Raymond (Helen) Angeluski of Port Austin; and many other loving family members. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Judith Skyring in 2000 and many brothers and sisters. The family would like to express a special thanks to McLaren Hospice and AdVisa Care.
