Edna H. WOODELL

WOODELL, Edna H. - age 87, of Swartz Creek, died Monday, February 15, 2010 at her residence. Funeral services will be held 12:30 PM Friday, February 19, 2010 at St. Bartholomew Anglican Church, 9252 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek with Fr. Gene Geromel, Jr, SSC officiating. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek and from 11:30 until the time of service at church on Friday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to St. Bartholomew Anglican Church. Mrs. Woodell was born October 5, 1922 in Flint, the daughter of George and Mollie (Wunder) Arndt. She married Edward A. Woodell and he preceded her in death in 1986. Mrs. Woodell was a veteran of World War II serving in the W.A.C. She retired from Sears after 17 years in sales and office. Surviving are: three children, Robin K. Brtva of Normal, IL, Stephen E. Woodell and wife, Irene of Belleville, MI, Susan A. Dishaw and husband, Larry of Swartz Creek; eight grandchildren, Becky Brtva, Adam Brtva, Trisha Hamby, Alex Merritt, Nick Woodell, Amanda (Todd) Szymanski, Jessica Brtva, and Stephanie Benner; special needs great-grandson, Christian Hamby, who was the light of her life; many nieces and nephews.
