Edna Pobocik

Pobocik Bigelow, Edna Jane - Age 98, of Swartz Creek, died Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Services will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, September 21, 2019 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Pastor Autumn Howard and Pastor Don Dennis officiating. Visitation will be held Saturday from 1 PM until the time of the service. Edna was born January 17, 1921 in Mundy Township, the daughter of Roy and Anna (Bauss) Keeler. She was a 1939 graduate of Grand Blanc High School. She married Mortimore Bigelow June 2, 1941 in Rankin and he preceded her in death December 14, 1992, she then married John Pobocik June 2, 1994 and he preceded her in death July 4, 2005. She resided in the Swartz Creek area her entire life. Edna had worked in the dental profession for many years. She was a member of Swartz Creek United Methodist Church. She also was a member of the Swartz Creek Women's Club and the Swartz Creek Kiwanis Club. She was a Girl Scout Leader for many years. Edna enjoyed square dancing, ice skating, roller skating, traveling, spending time at the cottage in St. Helen, and most of all spending time with her family. Surviving are: 3 children, Louise Blythe of Flint, Peggy (Bruce) Lodewyk of St. Cloud, MN, and Ed (Diane Davis) Bigelow of Plainwell; 7 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, and 1 great-great granddaughter; stepson, Larry (Bonnie) Pobocik of Flint Township; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; grandson, Michael Welch; son-in-laws, Craig Welch and James Blythe; sister, Helen Dillon; and brother, John Keeler.
