Edna M. McLaughlin

McLaughlin, Edna M.- Age 84, of Argentine, died Wednesday, November 5, 2003 at Genesys Health Park.  Funeral services will be held 2:00PM Saturday, November 8, 2003 at Sharp Funeral Homes; Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden.  Pastor Matthew Doerle officiating.  Burial in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc.  Visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-9PM Thursday and 1-4 and 6-9PM Friday.  Those desiring may make contributions to Argentine Church of the Nazarene 16248 S. Seymour Rd., Linden, MI  48451.  Mrs. McLaughlin was born April 2, 1919 in Kentucky, the daughter of James and Myrtle (Carrol) Gunnels.  She married John B. McLaughlin August 22, 1943 in Ann Arbor, and he preceded her in death July 20, 1979.  She had resided in Argentine since 1954, coming from Flint. She had been employed at Brownell Realty for many years and was a member of Argentine Church of the Nazarene.  Surviving are:  2 daughters, Barbara Nierescher of Mancelona, Kathleen Cannon of Clio; 5 grandchildren, Devona Dotson of Royal Oak, William and wife Cynthia Chene of Argentine, Jason Nierescher of Durand, Sundown and husband Zachary Padget of Gaylord, Brick Nierescher of Durand; 2 great-granddaughters, Odessa and Willow; grandma's very special great-grandson, Tyler; brother, James and wife Marie Gunnels of Mt. Morris.  She was also preceded in death by her parents; 2 sisters, Josephine Kreklau and Louise Spitler.  Friends may share their online condolences with the family at wwwsharpfuneralhomes.com.
