Edna Marie DENMAN

DENMAN, Edna Marie, age 90, of Woodhaven Senior Apartments, Flint Township, died after a brief illness, Saturday, February 13, 2010 with Hospice. Funeral Services will be 11 AM Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek with burial at Sunset Hills Cemetery at the side of her beloved husband of 63 years, Richard. Visitation will be held 6-8 PM Monday at the funeral home. Edna was born and spent her childhood in St Charles, Michigan. She was proceeded in death by her parents Edna and Henry Turner, her five siblings, Mary (Leroy) Cochran, Gladys (Fred) Coenen, Allen (Helen)Turner, Beatrice (Ben) Ward and Geniva (Omar) Kientz. Edna spent early adult years working at AC Spark Plug, Redmonds of Owosso and as a waitress at the Grand Blanc Hotel. She met her husband, Richard in 1940 and they married and moved to Flint Township when he returned from WWII in 1945. She spent most of her life being a dedicated and devoted homemaker, wife and mother. For the past two years Edna has resided at Woodhaven Senior Apartments enjoying the companionship of friends and staff there. Very recently, she enjoyed the caring and compassion of McLaren Visiting Nurses at Woodhaven. She leaves to cherish her memory her two daughters and son-in-law; Ramona (Brian) Hughes, Cheryl Sibilsky, her four grandchildren: Amanda (Tony Goodrich) Hughes, Kristin (Jonathan) Schwartz, Mathew Soule, Alexander Soule, one great-granddaughter, Morgan Goodrich and two great grandsons, Jonathan Schwartz Jr. and Hunter Brian Schwartz, numerous nieces and nephews as well as sister and brother-in-laws, Jane Denman, Dora and Bill Nixon.
