Edith "Merle" THOMPSON

THOMPSON, Edith "Merle" - Age 94, of Flint, died Saturday, July 25, 2009 at Genesys Convalescent Center. She was born in Arkansas on March 2, 1915. She had been a Flint area resident for over 56 years and was married to William Oliver Thompson. He preceded her in death in 1967. Mrs. Thompson was a homemaker who liked to sew and crochet. Surviving are her children: Jeanette Cocherell, William D. Thompson (Katherin), T. Howard Thompson (Chedda), James E. Thompson (Judy) and Ricky O. Thompson. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; 3 sons, G. Wayne Thompson, Michael L. Thompson and Kenneth J. Thompson. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, July 31, 2009 at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
