Edith Smith

SMITH, Edith M. - age 87, died at her Swartz Creek residence on May 21, 2014. Edith was born in Flint, Michigan the daughter of John R. and Rose Ethel Smith. She married ALfred H. Smith November 2, 1946; he preceded her in death February 21, 2000. Surviving are her son Gary and Janice Smith of Flushing; daughters, Kathryn Smith of Swartz Creek and Loraine Smith of Spartanburg, South Carolina; grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Eric Smith and fianc Dr. Jen Bass, and Sara and Michael Agee, all of Cincinnati, Ohio. Al's family also survives her: John and Jean Smith, Edward and Roberta Smith, Melva Smith, and Majors Ruth and Henry Tempel. Other survivors include many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, Al, Edith was preceded in death by siblings, Hilda Speck, Dorothy Speck, Col. John R. Smith, David M. Smith and brother-in-law, Bernard Smith.
