Edith M. JONES

JONES, Edith M., age 81, passed away Tuesday, September 15, 2009 at Genesys Convalescent Care. Edith was born September 21, 1927 in Flint, MI to Lloyd and Marie Hetherton (Rockwell). She married Kenneth C. Jones on October 10, 1952 in Detroit, MI. Edith worked at Moline Public Hospital, retiring in 1985. She was a faithful witness of Jehovah for 60 years. She served as a pioneer for many years, preaching the Good News of God's Kingdom. A memorial service will be held 1:00PM Saturday, September 26, 2009 at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses at 4255 McCandlish Rd. in Grand Blanc, MI Elder Derek Marsh officiating. Leaves to cherish her memory, 3 sons, Michael (Susan) Townsend of Flint, Keith (Susanne) Jones, Kevin Jones, both of Moline, IL; 7 grandchildren, Fymshelle Riley of Flint, Eric (Chanel) Jones, Chad ( Joanna) Jones, Kathy Jones, Kevin(Sandy) Jones, Michael (Alicia) Jones, Kassie Jones, all of Moline, IL; 6 great-grandchildren; 3 sisters, Virginia Bradow of Flint, Alice (Doug) Gray of Bradenton, FL, Sharon (Tony) Pasztor of Linden; 2 brothers, Seth (Arlene) Hetherton of Flushing, Duane (Diane) Hetherton of Swartz Creek; many nieces, nephews and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Kenneth C. Jones, parents, grandparents. The family would like to express special thanks to the staff of Genesys Convalscent Center in Grand Blanc.
