Edith Gutow

GUTOW, Edith G, -- Flint native, passed away on March 19,2018,her 96th birthday.Edith attended Flint schools, Ohio State University and University of Michigan. She was predeased by her husband, Dr Julius Jay Gutow and son, Howard Gutow. Always spirited and devoted to her many diverse interests,Edith was a long-time member of Temple Beth El, a President of its Sisterhood and an initiator of its well-known annual Antique Show. She was a Trustee of the Flint Institute of Arts and a member of its Rubens Society. For over 25 years,Edith was the proud owner of Gallery 726, an art gallery. Edith is survived by daughter Judy,granddaughter Esther, grandson Sutat,great granddaughter Ella,sister Betty (Bob)David and two nephews,Josh and Dan. Judy and her family are forever grateful to Darryl, Edith's and Julius' friend, companion and caregiver. Her funeral was held.
