Edgar Stanton

Stanton, Edgar Duane -- Age 84, of Bancroft, died August 22, 2020. A memorial will be held 1-5 PM Saturday September 26, 2020 at his home. Private interment has taken place at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Owosso. Arrangements are being handled by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc. He was born December 3, 1935 in Leroy, Michigan, the son of Ernest Gordan and Ada Bell ( Welch) Stanton. He retired from General Motors after many years of service. Surviving are: children, Joy (Paul) Reeser, Debra Stanton, James (Michelle) Stanton, Kevin (Sherry) Stanton, Melissa Stanton, Kevin (Annette) Cotie, Elliott Cotie, Antoinette Marx; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; siblings Martha Willis, Scottie (Donna) Stanton, and Josephine (Ben) Strickland; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his son Joseph Stanton; parents; brothers Stanley Stanton and Carl Stanton; sisters, Ruth Salisbury and Mary Parker. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
