Edgar and Helen BELL

BELL, Edgar Francis - May 6, 1921 - October 31, 2012. BELL, Helen Elizabeth - November 12, 1922-November 3, 2012. Funeral services for Mr. and Mrs. Bell will be held 1 PM Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Kevin Harbin will officiate. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-4 & 6-8 PM Monday. Those desiring may make contributions to The Salvation Army. Edgar and Helen were 1940 graduates of Linden High School and were married on August 17, 1946 in Linden. Edgar was a veteran of the U.S. Army Air Corp serving in WWII, where he was a POW in Romania. He retired from General Motors in 1986. Helen worked on the Swartz Creek and Mundy Township Election Boards for many years and was an active member of the United Methodist Women. They were members of the United Methodist Church of Swartz Creek and both loved flowers and gardening. Surviving are: children, James and wife Cathy Bell, Diane and husband David Broadworth, Kevin Bell and fiancee Valerie Truckey; grandchildren, Jamie Bell, Nicole and husband Adam DeKraker, Aaron and wife Amanda Broadworth, Kyle Bell and Scott Truckey; great-grandchildren, Chance Foster, Cameron Spohn, Cayden Spohn, Piper Broadworth, Kendrick Raymond; Helen's brothers, Charles and wife Velma Berger, Kenneth Berger; many nieces, nephews and cousins. Edgar was preceded in death by his sister, Ruth Harrison. Helen was preceded in death by her sisters, Dorothy White, Lucille Morris, Charlotte Markie, Audrey Hausmann, Bernice Berger; brother, Richard Berger.
