Eddie Prater

PRATER, Eddie P. - age 77, of Fenton, passed away Tuesday, October 18, 2022.  Funeral Services will be held 11 AM, Saturday October 22 at Sharp Funeral Homes, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton.  Pastor Mark Fernandez officiating.  Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery.  Visitation will be held 5-8 PM Friday; and 9-11 AM Saturday.

Eddie was born April 19, 1945 in Hurley, VA.  He married Betty Keene August 25, 1962 in Virginia.  Eddie worked for McDonald Dairy for many years, retiring in 2003.  He was a member of Durand Church of God.   Eddie deeply loved and was devoted to his grandchildren.  He enjoyed camping and yard work. He took pride in his yard and it was beautiful.

Surviving are: his beloved wife of 60 years, Betty; three daughters, Pauletta (Clayton) Eickhoff, Tammy (Robert) Malone, Carla (Kent) Senger;  eight grandchildren, Jeremy (Kelly Doyle) Hibbard, Joshua (Katie) Hibbard, Lacy (Mike) Stebbins, Jordan (Paula) Senger, Brandon Senger, Dylan Malone, Baily Malone, Erin Hibbard;  ten great-grandchildren, Olivia, Jackson, Ella, Ryder, Tanner, Emmy, Paisley, Brooklyn, Josie, Autumn;  seven siblings, Linda (Farley) Wolford, Judy (Dave) Harlow, Jimmy Marrs, Denver (Marla) Marrs, Kay Stiltner, Brad (Vickie) Marrs, Marsha (Craig) Miller; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Tennessee Marrs; brother, Ricky Marrs; sister, Virgie Stacy; and granddaughter, Taylor Malone.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
