Earl Green

GREEN, Earl Roy "The Earl of Linden" - Age 85, of Linden, passed away Wednesday, January 5, 2022.  Funeral service will be held 11:00 Monday, January 10, 2022 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St, Linden (A live stream of the service will be available on Earl's obituary page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com).  Burial in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation will be held at the funeral  home Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and Monday from 10 AM until the time of the service.  In lieu of flowers, those desiring may make contributions to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.

Earl was born October 19, 1936 in Flint, the son of Leroy Earl and Noldra Eudora (Detroyer) Green.  He was a 1955 graduate of Gaines High School.  He had resided in Linden for most of his life.  He retired from GM Fisher Body Grand Blanc in Skilled Trades; he had also worked for Genesee Tool and Die.  Earl was a member of the Fenton Fraternal Order of Eagles #2460 and Fenton Moose Lodge #430.  He enjoyed restoring classic cars, hunting, and mowing his lawn.

Surviving are: his children, Elaine Green of Mundy Township, Dennis Green (Tammy Schafer) of Flushing, Judy Green (Don Cocke) of Gaines, and Scott Green (Amy) of Eden, NY; grandchildren, Nichole, Stephan, Christopher, Andrew (Eleesha), Lauren (Andrew), Tawnie, Jamie, and Jayden; and several nephews and nieces.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sons, Earl Lawrence "Larry" Green and Leslie Green; grandson, Matthew Green; and sister, Suzanne Lobdell.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
