HAAS, Dwight Leon - 67, of Linden, died Wednesday, August 24, 2016. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11:00 AM Monday, August 29, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St, Fenton. Fr. Robert Copeland celebrant. Interment will be 4:00 PM Friday, September 2, 2016 at St. John Catholic Cemetery. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton Sunday from 1-4 and 6-8 PM and at church Monday from 10 AM until the time of the Mass. A vigil service will be held at the funeral home Sunday at 7 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Mayo Clinic. Dwight was born October 29, 1948 in Holly, the son of Elmer and Vivian (Perry) Haas. He was a 1967 graduate of Holly High School. He married Judy A. Teffner July 11, 1969 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Fenton. Dwight retired from GM Chevrolet Metal Fab. after 39 years of service. He was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the U.A.W. Local 659. Surviving are: his wife of 47 years, Judy; daughter, LeAnn and husband Anthony Ridgway of Flint; son, Kevin Haas and fiance Stacey Gehringer of Grand Blanc; grandchildren, Michael Condon, Chelsea Haas, Kyle Ridgway, Emma Haas, and Collin Ridgway; sister, Sharon Adams of Arizona; mother-in-law, Shirley Teffner of Fenton; 9 brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; and many other relatives.
