Duane Frederick Wilcox

WILCOX, Duane Frederick  age 81, of Flint, died Tuesday, September 13, 2005 at Avalon Hospice. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Thursday, September 15, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Interment will follow at Flint Memorial Park. Visitation will be held 3-5 and 6-8 PM Wednesday and 10 AM until the time of service on Thursday. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to American Caner Society for research. Mr. Wilcox was born February 21, 1924 in Flint, the son of Elsworth and Grace (Cobb) Wilcox. He married Fern Lucille Cail on March 21, 1970 and she preceded him in death on May 11, 1987. Mr. Wilcox was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during World War II. He is a retired Teamster. Mr. Wilcox attended St. Paul Lutheran Church and enjoyed golfing. Surviving are: three children, Rick Wilcox of Burton; Randy Wilcox and wife, Pamela of Corunna, Marrilee and husband, Raymond Summers of Milford; four grandchildren, Michael and Dawn Wilcox, Jason and Joey Summers.
