Duane Walden

WALDEN, Duane "FUZZY" - Age 76, of Fenton, passed away June 22, 2018. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Wednesday, June 27, 2018 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be held 2-8 PM Tuesday, with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7 PM, followed by a V.F.W Memorial Service at 7:30 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Shriner's Hospitals for Children. Duane was born September 5, 1941 in Flint, the son of Malvin and Phyllis (Lunt) Walden. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army in the mid-sixties serving in Germany as occupation force, guarding Hess Prison in Berlin. He owned and operated his beloved, Walden's Lounge in Fenton, where he enjoyed serving his customers. Fuzzy was a longtime Shriner and a member of the Fenton Lodge #109 F.&A.M for over 50 years. When anyone asked how he was doing his favorite response was "I don't know, no one has told me yet". Fuzzy loved garage sales and auctions and enjoyed spending time up north hunting, fishing and being outdoors. He is survived by his wife, Cathryn; his in-laws, who loved him like a son, Barb and Leon Fitch; nieces and nephew, Charlotte, Malvin, Phyllis and Laura; sister-in-law, Nancy Walden.
