Duane Eugene THOMPSON

THOMPSON, Duane Eugene, age 63, of Flint passed away Thursday, October 27, 2011 at Hurley Medical Center. Services will be 4:00 p.m. Saturday, October 29, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday until time of service at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Genesee County Humane Society. Duane was born August 27, 1948 in Flint the son of the late Delbert Thompson and Ruth Evelyn Mahany. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army, serving during the Vietnam War. Duane was employed by General Motors at the Chevrolet Truck Plant until his retirement in 2004 after 32 years of service. He enjoyed working on cars, hunting and going to the bar with his friends. Surviving are his 3 children, Shawn, Jamie and Duane Thompson; 4 brothers, Carl (Marie) Thompson, John (Rose) Thompson, Paul Thompson, Delbert (Karen) Thompson; 3 sisters, Debbie (Marvin) Haulott, Rose Ann (Denny) Gilbertson, Judy Kerperin.
