Duane Moore

Moore, Duane Edward -- Age 49, of Swartz Creek, died June 28, 2017. Funeral services will be held 12 PM Monday July 3 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Visitation will be held 12 - 4 PM and 6-8 PM Sunday and 10 AM until time of service on Monday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek. Duane was born September 14, 1967 in Pontiac, the son of Wayne and Judith (Spencer) Moore. He married Lisa Delay in 2006. He worked at the Truck Plant for 21 years. Duane was an instructor at Great Lakes Brazilian Jiu Jitsu formerly known as Holly B.J.J and it was a major part of his life. He was a great baseball pitcher even at age 49. He loved teaching and helping others learn. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Swartz Creek. He felt he found his calling in life when he was a volunteer for Southern Baptist Disaster Relief. He was best friends with his dog, Ginger. He is survived by his wife Lisa Moore; children, Cody Moore (Leah), Samantha Moore, Adriana Moore and C.J. Moore; step children, Benjamin Tate, Thomas Tate, Jacob Smith; father Wayne Moore; brother, Christopher (Denise) Moore of Oxford their children Hanah and Myles Moore; brother, Jason (Julie) Moore of Fenton their children, Wyatt (Worm Sweat) and Q; very special Aunt, Mavis and special cousin, Beth.
