EGGLESTON, Duane Dale, age 87, of Flint, formerly of Swartz Creek, passed away Tuesday, September 6, 2011 at home. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 10, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Visitation will be 4:00-8:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Interment will be 1:30 p.m. Monday, September 12, 2011 at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Contributions may be made to Hospice Advantage. Duane was born October 8, 1923 in Vestaburg, Michigan the son of the late Loren and Amy (Casey) Eggleston, He married Lila King on March 7, 1942 in Flint. Duane was a mechanic and owned his own garage as a young man. He was later employed by Buick as a machine repairman until his retirement in 1984. Surviving are his wife of 69 years, Lila; 6 children, Larry Eggleston (Charlene), Cheryl Hayek, Marsha Lee, Craig Eggleston, Gloria Smith (Michael), Denise Williams; many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; great-great-grandchildren; sister, Donna McQueen; brother-in-law, Arden O'Neill (Jeanne).
