WESTON, Douglas D., age 72, of Fenton, died Tuesday, January 10, 2006 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral Mass will be celebrated 11AM Saturday, January 14, 2006 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, 600 N. Adelaide St., Fenton. Rev. Fr. David Harvey celebrant. Following mass, veterans honors will be performed under the auspices of Fenton V.F.W. Curtis-Wolverton Post #3243. Visitation will be held 3-5 and 7-9PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton, and 10AM Saturday until the time of mass at the church. A vigil service will be held 7:30PM Friday, followed by a Knights of Columbus service, at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to the St. John G.I.F.T. Campaign or Unlimited Potential Inc. Douglas was born September 16, 1933, in Flint, the son of Anglo C. and Marian B. (Hains) Weston. He served as a 1st Airman in the U.S. Air Force from 1952 to 1956. Douglas married Betty Jo Lloyd in Flint on April 12, 1958 and she preceded him in death on June 19, 2005. He was employed by DuPont for 35 years, retiring in 1991. Douglas was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, and the Knights of Columbus in Fenton. Surviving are his children, Deborah Shamel of Vassar, Linda and husband Douglas Zembo of Clio, Mickey and wife Lisa Weston of Warsaw, IN; 9 grandchildren; one great-grandchild; brother, William and wife Betty Weston of Gaylord; sister-in-law, Tammie Weston of Mt. Morris; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife; son, Dennis Weston; brother Keith Weston; sister Beverly Lloyd.
