Piar, Douglas Ellsworth - Age 87, of Montrose, died March 16, 2021. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 2 PM Saturday March 20, 2021 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd. Grand Blanc. Funeral service will be held privately and can be viewed by live stream at Mr. Piar's page at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com at 2PM Saturday, March 20. Interment in Montrose Cemetery. Those desiring may make contributions to Hurley Medical Center or Hurley-Genesys Cancer Institute. Douglas was born May 29, 1933 in West Branch, the son of George and Louella (Preston) Piar. He was a veteran in the United States Army. Douglas retired from General Motors with 38 years of service. He loved hunting, golfing, camping, snowmobiling, and most of all his family. Douglas is survived by his wife, Linda; 3 children, Sally (Kenneth) Kovacs, Jeff (Kimberly) Piar, Kirk (Julie) Piar; step-children, Anna Mitchell, Dwight Howard; grandchildren, Candice (Nathan) Schulz, Cory (Tammy) Kovacs, Amy (Ty) Margrif, Justin Piar, Kourtney Piar, Kyle Piar; step-grandchildren, Jared Howard, Kagen Howard; 7 great-grandchildren, Luke, Aurora and William Schulz, Carter and Kennah Kovacs, Taylor and Gavin Margrif; several nieces and nephews.
