OSTERMAN, Douglas "Fuzz"- Age 51, of Cedar Springs, began his journey toward everlasting life, Tuesday, August 24, 2010. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Saturday, August 28, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, with Rev. Eric Coulon officiating. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Friday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM. Those desiring may make contributions to the Douglas J. Osterman Memorial Fund. Doug was born May 31, 1959 in Flint, the son of Francis and Betty (Shoop) Osterman. He was a 1978 graduate of Hamady High School. He married Gayle Pinkston September 28, 1985 in Flint. Doug had resided in Cedar Springs for the past 15 years coming from Mt. Morris. He retired in 2006 from General Motors Corporation. Through his life, his helpful nature earned many friends, and the love of those friends and his family was abundant. Surviving are: his beloved wife, Gayle; beloved daughter, Amy and 2 sons, Matthew and Tyler; 9 siblings, Pam Stevens (Tike Durance), Marcia Gooding, Rhonda (Barry) Hamilton, Steve Osterman, Theresa (Roy) Villarreal, Michael Osterman, Randy Osterman(Debbie Wilson), Michelle (Hank) Guillett and Dawn (Mitch) Dekalaita; father-in-law, Sam Pinkston; brother-in-law, Steve (Maryann) Pinkston; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Ted Osterman; mother-in-law, Eloise Pinkston; 2 brothers-in-law, Gerry Gooding and David Stevens; sister-in-law, Sue Osterman.
