Jones, Douglas Duane - Age 89, of Grand Blanc, died March 10, 2017. Funeral services will be held 11AM Saturday April 29 at Kirkridge Presbyterian Church 8070 S. Saginaw St. Grand Blanc Visitation will be held 2-8PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint. Those desiring may make contributions to Kirkridge Presbyterian Church or the charity of ones choice. Douglas was born October 30, 1927 in Flint the son of Frank Filler Jones and Esther Amelia (Eller) Jones. He attended Flint Junior College. He married Beatrice Marie "Trixie" West on August 9, 1947 in Flushing. Doug was the sales manager for Sealtest Dairy in Pennsylvania and Michigan for 20 years, and then McDonald Dairy (now Country Fresh) for 20 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member and served as elder and treasurer for Kirkridge Presbyterian Church. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge 223 of Flushing. He was a member of the Allied Ice Cream Association of Detroit and member and past president of the Sales and Marketing Association of Flint. Surviving are:wife of 69 years, Trixie; daughter Diane (Thomas) Peart of Marshall, MI; son Mark (Cheryl) Jones of Rochester Hills; grandchildren, Chad (Lisa) Peart, Wesley (Erin) Peart, Robert (Raigan) Jones, Nicholas Jones (Whitney), Ashley (Brad) Diekema, Katie Morgan; great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Colin, and Makena Jones; sister, Maurine (Stanley) Goldner of Flushing; sister-in-law, Sandy Jones of Flushing; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; and brother Frank Robert Jones.Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com
