HOWARD, Douglas Mark  Age 40, of Swartz Creek, died April 18, 2004 at Hurley Medical Center. Funeral Services will be held 1 PM Wednesday, April 21, 2004 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Road, Flint, Pastor Larry Alverson will officiate. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint. Visitation will be held 1-4 and 6-9 PM Tuesday (today.) In lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions to the Douglas Mark Howard Memorial Fund. Douglas was born May 20, 1963 in Michigan City, IN, the son of Donald R. Howard Jr. and Carole A. (Mark) Howard. He had resided in the Swartz Creek area his entire life and was a 1981 graduate of Swartz Creek High School. He was married to Renae Ranger on May 25, 1984 in Swartz Creek. He was the owner and operator of Howard Concrete Construction since 1987. He was an avid golfer and ice fisherman. Surviving are: wife Renae; 2 children, Austin and Ashley; parents, Donald and Carole of Swartz Creek; 2 brothers, Jeff and wife Darlene of Brighton, Donald III of Flint; niece and nephews, Stefanie and Jason Howard, Myles Gipson; grandfather Wesley Murray of Columbus, OH; grandmother Peg Howard of Elkhart, IN; 2 sisters-in-law, Robin Ranger of Flint, Richelle Porter and husband Sidney of Meridian, MS; many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his sister, Julie Ann Howard; parents-in-law, John and Anita Ranger; grandparents, Ralph and Nettie Mark, Donald Howard Sr., and Mary Jane Murray.
