Douglas Heyd

HEYD, Douglas Leon - Age 72, of Grand Blanc, died December 26, 2018. Visitation only will be held 1PM-3PM Monday, December 31 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center. Douglas was born April 13, 1947 in Reed City, Michigan the son of Norman and Martha (Stanton) Heyd. He married Pamela Malow on March 16, 1991 in Mundy Township. Douglas enjoyed gardening, motorcycles and yard work. He retired from G.M. Buick City Plant 36 with 40 years of service. Douglas was also a member of UAW 599. Douglas proudly served his country in the Army. He is survived by his wife, Pam of Grand Blanc; sons, Douglas Gene Heyd of Flint; Timothy Allen (Darcy) Heyd of Traverse City, Scotty Crandall of Grand Blanc, Timothy Lee Crandall of Bay City; 11 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren; mother, Martha Heyd-Willis of Manistee; brothers, Darwin (Kaye) Heyd of Irons, Richard (Judy) Heyd of Cadillac; sisters, Barb Olds of Irons, Marti (Mike) Riggins of Berrien Spring; many nieces and nephews.
