Douglas Darby

DARBY, Douglas L. - age 79, of Durand, formerly of Flushing, passed away on June 20, 2020. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek.

Douglas was born, January 30, 1941 in Flint, the son of James and Angeline (Hoffmann) Darby. He married Jeanette Licquia in Flint on November 5, 1960. Douglas graduated from Flint Tech High School. He was employed as a Project Manager for many years with EDS having started with AC Data Processing. Douglas was a member of the Durand Moose and Eagles Clubs. He played and coached hockey for many years. Douglas enjoyed traveling with his wife for many years.

He is survived by: children, Mike Darby, and Patricia (Todd) Williams; grandchildren, Jeanette Schriner, Darby Schriner, Katelyn WIlliams, and Madison Darby; sisters, Belinda (Randy) Stone, and Nancy (John) Edwards.

Douglas was preceded in death by: his parents; wife Jeanette Darby; daughter-in-law, Laurel Darby; and nephew, Todd Edwards.
