Douglas CURTIS

CURTIS, Douglas, age 50 of Clio died at home, Saturday, March 13, 2010. He was born in Flint on July 24, 1959 the son of Mervin W, and Margaret M. (West) Curtis. Douglas graduated from Swartz Creek High School in 1978. He was employed by Central Michigan Lumber Co. and later the Vassar Building Center. Douglas enjoyed motorcycles, especially his Harley. He was a very caring person, enjoying the many friendships he has made. Surviving are life partner; Gina, children, Daniel, Laura, Kristen and AAron. Seven grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Jacob, Nick, Tommas, ValerieAnne, Olivia and Evan. Also surviving are his brother, Mark (Denise) Curtis of Rockford, MI, 2 nephews, Eric and Andrew, a niece Kelsey Margaret, special friends, Brian (Sharon) McKerchie, Kelsay and Zack and several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Friday, March 19, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Home, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek. Burial will be in Fairview Cemetery, Linden. Visitation for family and relatives will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Wednesday and Thursday for friends from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 P.M. Memorial gifts may be offered to McLaren Hospice.
