Byrd, Douglas George - Age 76, of Clio, died June 28, 2018. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Thursday, July 5 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, Pastor Nathan Allen officiating. Committal service at a later time at Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 1 PM Thursday July 5. Those desiring may make contributions to Holy Spirit Church for the Fellowship Hall. Douglas was born August 19, 1941 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the son of Jess McArthur Byrd and Margaret (Azarowicz) Byrd. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He worked as a sales representative for Wallside Windows. Surviving are: wife Nancy; two children Cheryl (Terry) Scharr, Scott Merath; three grandchildren Alysa, Gabriela, Amy; great-grandchildren Isabella, Annabella, Catelaya, Emiliano; brother William; sister MaryEllen; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother Robert; sister Margie; son Keith; and grand-daughter Kayla. Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
