REMILLARD, Dorris Evelyn - Age 88, of Fenton, died Friday, July 2, 2010 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held 12:00 PM Wednesday, July 7, 2010 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, with Deacon Ron Kenney officiating. Burial in Great Lakes National Cemetery, Holly. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday from 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM and 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM. A V.F.W. Auxiliary Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make contributions to the American Cancer Society or the Alzheimer's Association. Dorris was born December 30, 1921 in Flint, the daughter of John and Mae (Dorris) Alpin. She married Thomas R. Remillard July 16, 1949 in Angola, IN. She was a member of the Fenton V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #3243. Surviving are: husband, Thomas R.; 5 children, John "Jack" and wife Pamela McTaggart of Montrose, Thomas and wife Charmin Remillard of Las Vegas, NV, Robert Remillard of Fenton Township, Matthew and wife Jill Remillard of Fenton and Patricia and husband Charles Salerno of Fenton; 7 grandchildren, James, Brian (Melissa), Chris (Courtney), Michael, Renae, Eric and Jessica; 1 great grandson, Mavrick; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, James McTaggart; sister, Anna Felisky. The family wishes to extend special thanks to the staff at Genesys Convalescent Center, for the special care given to Dorris.
