Dorothy Walter

WALTER, Dorothy H., age 81 of Swartz Creek died Wednesday, January 9, 2008 at Genesys Health Park.  She was born in Alpena on May 13, 1926.  She has lived in the Genesee County area for many years.  Mrs. Walter retired from A.C. Spark Plug Division in 1976 after 30 years of service.  She was a homemaker, devoted mother, grandmother and loved to shop. Surviving are;  daughter, Cindy Zachary of Swartz Creek, Son, Perry Walter of Flint.  Also surviving are 2 granddaughters,  Kayla and Celeste and 2 sisters; Esther Pelleran and Ruth Renner and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Carroll Walter in 1993, 5 brothers and a sister.  Funeral services will be 3:00 P.M. Sunday, January 13, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd.,Grand Blanc Twp. Services will conclude at the funeral home with cremation later. Visitation will be at the funeral home on Saturday from 4:00 to 8:00 P.M.  Memorial contributions may be offered to the Alzheimers Association or to the American Cancer Society.
