SUESS, Dorothy Charlotte, age 82, of Flint, Went to be with the Lord on April 1, 2012. Dorothy was born April 19, 1929 in Flint. In 1954, she married Jack Suess. They were blessed with over 51 years of happiness. They loved to bowl, dance, be with friends, spend time up north, work on projects and of course, go to the casinos. Dorothy chose to be a stay at home Mom to her three children. She wanted to always be there to teach and care for them. She could make the simplest things fun and was always available to listen and talk. For 36 years, Dorothy and her family were blessed to enjoy their cottage up north and the many wonderful memories were made there. Spunky and feisty, Dorothy was an intelligent woman who was always current in the world around her. She had the "I can do it" attitude and took on new projects every chance she had. To many, she will be remembered for her "Dortsmart" cards, made with love, and of course a laugh at the end. Mostly, Dorothy loved people. She loved to make them laugh. The funny things she said and did will always be remembered. She is survived by her daughter, Laurie Lund and son-in-law, Jeff; sons, Steve and Scott; step-son, Gary; sister, Violet Piotrowski; sister-in-law, Leatha Miloy; and two grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her brother, John Miloy. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church. Special thanks to Avalon Hospice for their love and care. Dorothy's life might be best summed up as "She did it her way". She would say to those left behind, "Life is for the living so make every day count."
