STRATTON, Dorothy Joyce, age 79, of Fenton, died May 16, 2005 at Fenton Assisted Living. Funeral Service will be 11:00AM Friday, May 20, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. Pastor John Vannest officiating. Interment in Parshallville Cemetery. Visitation will be held Thursday 2-5 and 7-9PM at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Heritage Hills Free Methodist Church or The Alzheimers Association. Dorothy was born October 7, 1925 in Pontiac the daughter of Guy and Isabel (Coffey) Cummings. She married Richard J. Stratton on June 16, 1956 and he preceded her in death on July 4, 1985. Dorothy was a member of TOPS and attended Heritage Hills Free Methodist Church in Hartland. She enjoyed traveling, gardening, and reading, but most of all, she took joy in her family and grandchildren. Surviving are her children, Alan Peterson of Mason, Diane Barron and husband Don of Worley, Idaho, Dave Stratton and wife Dawn of Holly, Todd Stratton and wife Lynn of Highland, Dina Goodrich and Jerry Dehn of Shelbyville; brother, Douglas Cummings of Utica; 11 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Richard, grandson Bill Goodrich, infant brother Bernard, and daughter-in-law Kay Peterson.
