Dorothy Stafford

Stafford, Dorothy M. - Age 94, of Traverse City passed away October 3, 2022. According to her wishes, cremation has taken place. Her family will celebrate her life privately. Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 East Broad Street, Linden.

Dorothy was born June 8, 1928 in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, the daughter of George and Helen (Holmes ) Albrough. She was the youngest of five siblings. Dorothy worked for over 20 years at Burkeholder Builders. She was devoted to her family, and enjoyed gardening, yard maintenance, long-brisk walks and she took pride in her well-kept home.

She is survived by two sons, Gerald Stafford of Traverse City and Thomas (Deborah) Stafford of Fenton; three grandchildren, Christine (Tom) Wichman, Kelli Vrtis and Marc (Jaclyn) Stafford; great-grandchildren, Kyla, Lucas, Teagan, Owen, Nora, Sadie, and Madelyn; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents and her four siblings and their spouses: Leonard (Amelia), Emily (Vince), Olive (Armas), Frank (Lillian).
