SHUMAKER, Dorothy Estella, age 94, of Dayton, Ohio passed away Tuesday, September 13, 2011 in Ohio. Funeral Services will be 1:00 p.m. Saturday, September 17, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc Twp. Rev. Tom Mattiuzzo officiating. Interment at Flint Memorial Park Cemetery, Mt. Morris. Visitation will be 11:00 a.m. Saturday until time of service. Contributions may be made to Hospice of Dayton, 324 Wilmington Ave., Dayton, OH 45420. Dorothy was born March 31, 1917 in Defiance, OH the daughter of the late Wilbur and Carrie (March) Davis. She was married to Charles Shumaker, and along with his brother, Clarence they owned and operated West Side Fruit Market in Flint. She was also a member of Riverside Tabernacle Assembly of God. Surviving are her 2 children, Irene Tipsword of Dayton, Ohio, Larry Shumaker of Tennessee; 7 grandchildren, Scott Wiggins (Cathy), Peggy Hinshaw (Steven), Roger Shumaker Jr. (Kendra), Carmella Denison, Buford Shumaker, Patsy Folts (Fred), Larry Shumaker (Cindy); several great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and cousins. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles; son, Roger Shumaker Sr.; 2 brothers, Floyd and Harvey Davis.
