Dorothy M. Raymond

RAYMOND, Dorothy M. Dot, age 82, of Flushing, died Wednesday, February 2, 2005 at Living Joy of Flushing.  Funeral Services will be held 1:00 pm Monday, February 7, 2005 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Rd., Swartz Creek, Pastor Lucille J. Benac officiating.  Interment in Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc.  Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the time of service Monday at the funeral home.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice or the Alzheimers Association.  Dorothy was born to Ernest and Barbara Hofmann, in Flint on September 3, 1922, the youngest of eight children.  She married Clifford L. Raymond on February 28, 1942 in Indiana.  Dorothy was employed at the Ternstedt Plant of GM for ten years.  She quit at that time to take care of her first born grandchild and to play golf.  She belonged to the Clio Golf Club with her husband Cliff and continued to play until her later years.  Dorothy is survived by:  daughter and son-in-law Janet and Phillip Gifford of Swartz Creek, son and daughter-in-law Larry and Fay Raymond of Flushing; grandchildren Robby and Melissa Gifford of Flint, Randy and Jennifer Gifford of Vacaville, CA, Paul and Debi Raymond of Davison, David Raymond of Redondo Beach, CA; great grandchildren Donald Gifford, Gregory Gifford, Taylor Gifford, Christopher Gifford, Chase Raymond; brother-in-law Leo Stone of Harrisville; several special nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by: her husband, Clifford in March of 2003.
