ORTH, Dorothy L. - age 77, of Fenton, died Sunday, October 16, 2016. Services will be held 11 AM Friday, October 21, 2016 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 W. Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. The family will receive friends from 4 PM - 8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Dorothy was born April 7, 1939 in Rives, MO, the daughter of Paul and Katie (Sparks) Kershaw. She married Michael Orth on August 20, 1960 and he preceded her in death on August 7, 1991. Dorothy had worked at Hovey's Drug Store for 17 years and at Dr. Damanskas office as a bookkeeper for 13 years. She was very active with her husband in the Fenton Little League where she served as secretary for many years. Surviving are: three children, Michael (Annette) Orth of Kearsley, Kit Gray of Fenton, Tina Staffne of Fenton; six grandchildren, Samantha Suminski, Michael Reese, Jordan and Brandon Orth, Autumn and A.J. Staffne; four great-grandchildren, Tyler Jelnick, Paisley Matzke, Desi and Sadie Reese; sister, Willie (Richard) Taylor; brother, Edward Kershaw; sister-in-law, Beverley Kershaw. She was preceded in death by: her parents; husband, Michael; brother, Palmer Kershaw and sister-in-law, Joanne Kershaw.
