Dorothy Morris

MORRIS, Dorothy Pearl - Age 89, of Flint Township, died July 11, 2022. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Friday, July 15 at Sharp Funeral Home, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek. Visitation will be held 11 AM - 8 PM Thursday, July 14 and from 10 AM until the time of the service on Friday at the funeral home.  Those desiring may make contributions to Kindred Hospice.

Dorothy was born November 6, 1932, in Senath, MO. The daughter of Clarence Earl And Mattie Marie (Rollins) Zachery.  She married Earl Morris Jr on November 10, 1952 in Rector, AR. he preceded her in death on June 3, 2014. She was a Volunteer at the Southern Baptist Church and  the  West Side Flint Mini Station Crime Watch.  She was a recipient of the Key of Flint.   Dorothy enjoyed cooking and always had ice cream and drank coke with a straw.  She loved her grandkids and family with all her heart, she was very faithful and devoted in her southern Baptist beliefs.  She never failed to make you smile and touched many lives .

She is survived by her Children, Vicky (late Raymond) Fuller, Terry (Tim) Purdue; grandchildren,  Robert (Stephanie) Fuller, Chad (Lisa) Fuller, Aaron (Sara) Purdue, Andrea (Aaron) Galbraith, Timmy (Julia) Purdue;  18 great grandchildren,  3 great grandchildren; siblings Frances (the late Bob Henry) Zachery- Henry, Tom Zachery, Marilyn (the late Elmoe) Pinkerton Zachery, Melody Zachery; sister in law, Nancy Phillips - Zachery.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Earl (the Late Sue) Zachery; brother, Jearl Zachery; grandchildren, Raymond Fuller Jr; great grandchildren, Ashley Fuller, Colton Purdue; nieces and nephews, Mike Zachery, Bobby Henry Jr. , Kathy Williams.   The family would like to thank the entire staff at Kindred Hospice especially, Terri Glassbrook and Gena Kuczera and Chaplain Tom Tengler.  Tributes may be shared at www.sharpfuneralhomes.com.
