Dorothy Mae "Dot" McQuillin

MCQUILLIN, Dorothy Mae "Dot" - Age 93, of Byron formerly of Linden, passed away October 2, 2024. No services will be held. Dorothy was born August 7, 1931 in Flint, the daughter of the late Hervey George and Doris Carrie (Duncan) Spencer. She married Robert McQuillin on August 13, 1949; he preceded her in death on October 4, 2008. Dorothy went back to school when her children were teenagers and became a Registered Nurse. She had worked at Clara Barton Nursing Home, where she served as the Director of Nursing. Dorothy was an amazing cook. She loved cooking, reading, gardening and more than anything, her family. She is survived by her children, Vicki (Marvin) Smith, Randall (Cathy) McQuillin, Scott (Lisa) McQuillin; grandchildren, Sherry (David) Mockles, Sasha (Ryan) Wakefield, Amber (Michael) Fairfield, Holly (Brian) Roberts, Brendan McQuillin, Don (Cheryl) Smith, Trish (Steve) Barrick, Nichole McQuillin; numerous great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren; brother, James Spencer. She was also preceded in death by her siblings, Hervey Spencer, Sarah Dallaire, Ruth Shell, Winifred "Winnie" Schoonover, Helen Hough and Margaret Blain.
