Dorothy May Martin

MARTIN, Dorothy May - age 101, of Grand Blanc, died Tuesday, November 4, 2008 at Genesys Convalescent Center. Funeral services will be held 1 PM Friday, November 7, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Flint with Rev. Hal Philips officiating. Interment will follow at Hasley Cemetery. Visitation will be held 4-8 PM Thursday at the funeral home. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to the Halsey United Methodist Church. Mrs. Martin was born July 16, 1907 in New Canaan, CT, the daughter of Christopher and Hannah (Selleck) Wells. She married Garnet Martin on July 25, 1925 and he preceded her in death on March 2, 1976. Mrs. Martin had resided in Grand Blanc since 1955. Surviving are: two sons, Garnet Martin and wife, Marian of Gladwin, Richard Martin and wife, Lenda of Grand Blanc; daughter, Barbara and husband, Howard Eddy of Linden; eight grandchildren; many great-grandchildren.
