Dorothy Mabry

MABRY, Dorothy G., age 85 of Tempe, AZ (formerly of Flint), died Saturday, February 28, 2009 in Tempe. Dorothy was born in Racine, Wisconsin, July 7, 1923 and lived in Flint all her life except for being a resident of Tempe the past 10 years. She was employed by General Motors for 30 years and a former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church. She is survived by her son, Pastor Michael and wife Betty Sharp of Spencer, Iowa, daughters, Melanie and husband James Southers of Mesa, AZ and Marva Mabryof Tempe. Also surviving are 3 grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews and her sisters, Adeline and husband John Deal of Swartz Creek, Betty and husband William Kirby of Mt. Pleasant.She was preceded in death by her husband Carlos Mabry and parents Leo and Minnie Winterle. Funeral services will be held at the Sharp Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc, Twp. Her son, Pastor Michael Sharp will officiate. Burial will follow at Sunset Hills Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 5 to 9 P.M. and Saturday from 10 A.M. until the 11 AM, at the time of service.
