HARRIS, Dorothy - Age 72, of Swartz Creek, died Thursday, December 18, 2008 at McLaren Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Tuesday, December 23, 2008 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Miller Road Chapel, 8138 Miller Road, Swartz Creek, with Pastor Jim Nelson officiating. Burial immediately following at Crestwood Memorial Cemetery, Grand Blanc. Visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 6-8 PM, Monday from 1-4 and 6-9 PM and Tuesday from 1:00 PM until time of service. Those desiring may make contributions to the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Dorothy was born March 12, 1936 in Ohio, the daughter of Fred and Helen Spence. She married Lyman Charles Harris November 27, 1954 in Flint and he preceded her in death April 8, 2004. She had lived in the Swartz Creek and Gaines area most of her life; wintering in Abbeville, AL. She was very active with the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Surviving are: 3 children, Ann and husband John May of West Olive, Jenny Harris of Flushing, Lyman Harris, Jr. and Karol of Swartz Creek; 2 grandchildren, Jesse May and fiancee Tonia and Sarah May; special sisters, Jean Kubik of Burton and Nancy Kurtz of Columbus, OH.
