HACKETT, Dorothy, age 96 of Fenton, died February 9, 2005 at Genesys Health Park. Funeral services will be held 11AM on Saturday, February 12, 2005 at Transfiguration Lutheran Church, 14176 Fenton Rd., Fenton. Pastor Steven Schick officiating. Visitation will be at 7 - 9PM Thursday and 3-9PM Friday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd. Fenton. Interment will be at Maple Hill Cemetery in Cadillac at 11AM on Thursday, February 17, 2005. Memorial contributions may be made to Transfiguration Lutheran Church Building Fund or the charity of ones choice. Dorothy was born on August 31, 1908 in Jennings, MI, the daughter of Henry J. And Rose (Wilson) Anderson. She married Edgar S. Hackett on January 2, 1944 in St. Clair, MI. Dorothy was a teacher for 30 years, spending many of those years teaching at Freeman School within the Flint Public Schools system. She was a faithful member of Transfiguration Lutheran Church in Fenton. Surviving are her daughters, Risa Stebbins of Flint, Rosie and husband Ivan Quinn of Fenton; grandchildren, Casey and wife Amy King of Royal Oak, Kienan King of Fenton, Rebecca Stebbins of Flint, Scott and wife FlorLisa Stebbins of Flint, Michael and wife Teresa Quinn of Ferndale; great-grandchildren, Justin, Jared, Cody, Amber, Kaylah, Noel, Taylor; brother, Hank and wife Donna Anderson; niece, Lynne and husband Terry Packard of Pennsylvania; nephew, Bill and wife Charlotte Anderson of Mt. Morris; sister-in-law, Virginia Hackett of Georgia. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband Edgar in 2003 and her brother, Arthur Anderson.
