FORSHEE Dorothy Jane  -- Age 84, of Hilton Head, SC, went home to be with the Lord Monday, August 10, 2020. Beloved wife of Donald for nearly 65 years. A graveside service will be held 10AM Monday August 17 at Sunset Hills Cemetery, Flint.  Arrangements provided by Sharp Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 6063 Fenton Rd., Grand Blanc.  Funeral home personnel will be available at the Flushing Rd entrance to direct attendees to the gravesite. in lieu of flowers those desiring may make contributions  to CRC, 95 Gardner Dr, Hilton Head Island SC, 29926 and cards to 10 Wax Myrtle Lane, Hilton Head, SC, 29926. She is survived by her two sons Matthew, Ft Wayne, IN, and Kevin, Bloomington, IL. She was predeceased by her daughter Susan Jennings. Along with five great grandchildren, she leaves five grandchildren: Rachel Gibson (GA), Rebecca (MO), Jack, and Ame’lie Forshee, (IL) and Christopher Jennings (IN). Dorothy was born in Flint, MI, to Joseph and Alice Bolanowski October 12, 1935. She was a graduate of Flint Central High School and attended Flint Junior College. She was deeply devoted to her faith and her love of spouse and family throughout her life. Having received Jesus Christ as her Savior in May 1971 in Danville, IL, she became a committed Christian mentoring and leading and assisting in Bible studies and church activities. She was known and respected for her hospitality, having served many people over many years at her homes in Flint, Danville, and Hilton Head, an expression true servanthood. She attended Christian Renewal Church (CRC), Hilton Head, where a memorial service will be held on Saturday, August 29, at 10 AM followed by a luncheon at the church. A graveside service will be held in Flint at Sunset Hills Cemetery on Monday, August 17, at 10 AM. Funeral home personnel will be available at the Flushing Rd entrance to direct attendees to the gravesite.
