Dorothy Jean FICK

FICK, Dorothy Jean - age 87, of Linden, died Thursday, February 10, 2011 at the Pines of Lake Fenton. Funeral services will be held 11 AM Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Sharp Funeral Homes, Linden Chapel, 209 E. Broad St., Linden with Rev. Donald Neuville officiating. Interment will be held at Stiles Cemetery in Lapeer. Those desiring may make memorial contributions to O.E.S. #175 or Linden Presbyterian Church. Mrs. Fick was born February 6, 1924 in Metamora, the daughter of Fred Martin and Goldie Mae (Aldrich) Tyler. She was a graduate of Hadley High School. Dorothy married Basil C. Fick on December 16, 1944 and he preceded her in death on July 23, 1982. Mrs. Fick retired from the United States Postal Service after 17 years and also was a school bus driver in Linden. She was a member of the Linden Presbyterian Church, Past Worthy Matron of the Linden O.E.S. #175. Mrs. Fick enjoyed her family. Surviving are: Four children, Gary W. Fick (Ricki Hetchler of Foley, AL) of Linden, Brian B. (Gina) Fick of Huntington Beach, CA;Daughters Janice Rowe of Pontiac, MI; Karen Maidment of Redford, MI; sons-in-law, Dennis Breeden of Linden; Dennis Kish of Fenton; 11 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; two sisters, Irene (Russell) White of Westminster, CA, Edith L. Fick of Santa Anna, CA, Robert (Beverley) Tyler of Oxford; several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by: her parents, two brothers, two sisters, daughter-in-law Marcia Fick and daughters Marcia Kish, Marilyn Fick Breeden.
