DEWITT, Dorothy Mae (Balasko), age 86, of Fenton/Flint, died Tuesday, September 4, 2007 at Hurley Medical Center. Services will be held 11AM Friday, September 7, 2007 at Fenton United Methodist Church, 119 S. Leroy St. Fenton where friends may gather at 10AM. Pastor David Mulder officiating. Interment in Sunset Hills Cemetery. Â The family will also receive friends 3-8PM Thursday at Sharp Funeral Homes, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Rd., Fenton. Contributions may be made to the American Heart Association. Dorothy was born of Elmer and Anna Scofield on March 21, 1921 in Menominee, Michigan. She married Paul DeWitt Jr. October 3, 1945 and he preceded her in death April 16, 1967. She remarried George Balasko on June 19, 1971 and he also preceded her in death on November 13, 1984. Dorothy graduated from Northern High School in 1939, worked 9 years at AC Spark Plug in Personel and at Buick Engineering Specifications where she retired in 1981. She is survived by her 3 children, Kathy L. DeWitt of Flushing, Paul DeWitt III of Flushing, Wendy DeWitt of Fenton; Â granddaughter, Leighann DeWitt of Flushing; sister-in-law, Peggy Clarence of Flushing; loving caregiver, Diana Mann; special neighbor and friend, Lonnie Nichols; good friend, Elsie Peterson; and several nieces, nephews and good friends.
