Dorothy Francis Burkholder

BURKHOLDER, Dorothy Frances - Age 90, born February 21, 1916 went to be with her Lord on November 8, 2006, whom she loved and served her whole life. She was born to William and Amanda Downie in Spruce, MI. Dorothy was a nurse for many years as well as a busy pastor's wife. She loved her family and was gifted at visiting the sick and shut-ins. She was a long-time member of Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church in Fenton. She was deeply loved by her children and will be dearly missed. Dorothy was preceded in death by her husbands, Roy H. Graham and Rev. F. Floyd Burkholder; 5 brothers, Everett, Ray, James, Allen and Norm Downie. She is survived by brothers, John Downie, William Downie (wife Delores); and sisters, Gladys Lundemo (husband George), and Loraine Palmu (husband Matti). Dorothy was blessed with 4 children, Richard Graham (wife Patricia) of Fenton, MI, Nancy Bellinger of Fenton, Roy Graham (wife Patricia A.) of Franklin, OH, and William Graham (wife Laura) of Fenton. She had 10 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2PM Sunday, November 12, 2006 at Tyrone Covenant Presbyterian Church, 10235 White Lake Road, Fenton, Pastor James Mascow officiating. Burial in Spruce Cemetery, Spruce, MI. Visitation will be held at Sharp Funeral Home, Fenton Chapel, 1000 Silver Lake Road, Fenton, from 1-7PM Saturday and at the church from 1PM until time of service Sunday. A luncheon will follow the service.
