BOLTON, Dorothea W., age 93 of Pompano Beach, Florida, formerly of Flint and Singer Island, Florida died Saturday, May 28, 2005 at the Holy Cross Hospital in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Â Mrs. Bolton was born November 27, 1911 in Charlevoix, Michigan the daughter of Montgomery and Zelma (Anderson) Withers. Â She and James R. Bolton were married on June 16, 1937 in Rockville, Maryland. Â He preceded her in death in 2000. Â Mrs. Bolton graduated from Michigan State University in 1935 and was a member of the Alpha Phi Sorority. Â She worked as a home economist for Consumer Power Co. and implemented the Federal Governments school lunch program in Flint. Â She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Flint, a 43 year volunteer with the Hurley Hospital Auxiliary, a member of the Junior Needlework Guild, The Flint Golf Club, The Flint Institute of Music, The Flint Institute of Arts, a charter member of Warwick Hills Golf Club and a contributor to the College and Cultural Fund and the Community Foundation of Flint. Â Surviving are two sons; Richard Withers Bolton and wife Dr. Gabrielle Bolton of Greenwich, Ct and Bruce Jonathan Bolton of Miami Beach, Florida. Â Also surviving are two grandsons, Alexander Bolton of Washington D.C. and Christopher Bolton of New York City and a brother Jack Withers of Bradenton, Fl. Â Mrs. Bolton was preceded in death by her parents, her husband James, a sister Betty King and two brothers, Bruce and Robert Withers. Â A service of remembrance will be 12 noon Sunday, June 19, 2005 in the chapel of First Presbyterian Church of Flint, 746 S. Saginaw St. Â Dr. Jerry Pitman officiating. Â Her cremated remains will be placed in the Columbarium of the church. Â Memorial gifts in her name may be offered to the First Presbyterian Church.
